Congratulations on your Sony 700. I have the 505 and love it. Even though I haven't tried it yet, many members download ebooks to their Sony from the library.
Just like everyone mentioned, don't forget to check out all the free ebooks beautifully formatted by the members on MR. Look up to the blue bar and click on the triangle next to ebooks. The dropdown menu lists two formats that work on the Sony [Sony BBeB (which is lrf) and epub]. Click on one and check out what's available for free download.
