My method (not the most elegant ):
Copy the text in the Embed field on the YouTube page, e.g.

Click the YouTube button in the message window to get (YOUTUBE)(/YOUTUBE) - with square brackets.
Paste the copied text between (YOUTUBE) and (/YOUTUBE) to get (with square brackets)-
