Some years ago (oh, my ... 10 years ago) I had an older lady (late 50's to early 60's) at one Rat-Shack try to tell me that I couldn't use a 22 AWG 3 conductor wire to make a custom extension cord/connector to hook my TV to my Stereo because it was
intercomm wire (says so right there on the spool label, sir!).
I finally told her that I was going to buy it and if it didn't work it was
my bad, not hers.
I
felt like saying, "I've got an M.S. in Electronics Engineering that says copper is copper -- what d'you got, lady?"
It worked fine, BTW (and I'm glad in retrospect that I answered with option 'A').
