None of my errands are done because I came straight home and turned on my computer. Worked on it all afternoon and I'll still need to monitor the situation tomorrow.
The only good thing about today is that I covered an old cork board with fabric and ribbon and hung it in front of my desk. It was pretty...until I covered it with work related papers.
I think it is time to retreat to my bedroom and read.

on the other hand, that boss of yours needs a good talking to ! i hope he'll give you a day or two off during the week to make up for ruining your weekend ! i don't know what job you have but i hope they appreciate you !

But dont get me wrong: Paying this will not make it legal to actually use this stuff (e.g. to make a backup for existing CDs). You are just paying w/o getting anything. In the normal world this is called protection money .. not much difference between some companies and the organized crime, is there?

it's the same here.
"don't do it ! it's illegal. but we know you'll do it anyway, so we'll make you pay for it in advance, even the people who won't do it ever. but even though you're paying for it, you don't have the right, so if you get caught, you'll be in trouble !" and all this money that they're collecting because they "know" people are doing it... i really would like to know where it goes, and how much (if any) the artists ever see. it's all a racket.
