I just picked up an omnivision dms1 at 'tuesday morning' for just $60.
I quickly did some reasearch looking for info on using this with Linux.
Seems there are now two open source severs that should work,
ushare, and gmediaserver. Both are GPL'ed projects (ushare seems to be a fork of gmediaserver actually).
I havn't yet tried these out on my system (the dms1 is still in the box). I'll chime back in with the results!
