I am entering! I am entering!! I have been trying to come up with a good reason... and I can't decide which reader I want!

I want to go back to graduate school for my PhD, so one that reads texts books best sounds good... I love love love my 505, but have always wondered about a kindle, but maybe the ebookwise....

ok, now WHY? why do I deserve it? Hmm... well, I'm a good person who always tried to be nice and helpful (check out my posts here for proof ). Uh, (I'm aware that if this were a job interview, I'd be out the door by now) I rarely buy myself anything special, I have 3 young kids, a full-time job (educating other people's kids) and am always running all over the place taking care of my kids, yet I *always* find time to read. Reading is my passion. I read cereal boxes, shampoo bottles, everything I can. Since I am with my kids 24/7 (husband works late hours, no babysitters/family nearby), I look to reading as my little escape (well, that, and MR). I would love to have a reader to keep in my purse and one to keep at home so I can always have several different books going on at once!

Or, I might decide to give one to my son, who does things like read books at school dances (ok, he's 8, but all the other 8yos were running around kicking balloons and screaming to the music- he found a quiet corner to read). He is just like his mommy and reads while cleaning, walking around, vacuuming, etc. used to drive my mom crazy when I did it. It drives me crazy when he does that too (but also happy, in a perverse sort of way), so an ereader would at least help lift the load he carries around while he reads Wouldn't want him to strain his muscles!

Or, I could donate the reader to our school, or use it as a giveaway so people would buy tickets (or a silent auction item?). that way, I am a) getting ereaders into our community (I've only seen ONE ereader out and about, and it was on a plane, and i think it was a tourist), and b) making money for our school (that has been hard hit by budget cuts- like all schools, we have lost funds for things like books, and this could get a little more money in there).

Or, I could give it to some other person who is in need of a reader and really deserves it and cannot afford it!

see, I am undecided, but all my ideas are fantastic, are they not? So I am officially entering.
