Just finished "Dead Until Dark" by Charlaine Harris, after "Santa Olivia" by Jacqueline Carey.
Pretty entertaining, both of them, each in their genre !
I may buy the 2nd book of the Southern Vampire Series, if I can bypass the geographical restriction !
Now I must dive in "King Solomon's Mines" !
