Just finished 'Mistress of the Art of Death' by Ariana Franklin. It was very, very good. My one regret was that the map at the beginning was too small to read on my ipod screen, and did not transfer onto my Sony once I got done with liberating the file from the DRM, so I could not make it out at all, and as I am not familiar with the geography of 12th century Cambridge, England, I felt myself wishing for it at times. I will have to go a bricks and mortar store when out tomorrow to look at up in the print version.
Also, it annoys me that the sequels to this book (which I, as always, bought when it was on sale, at a massive discount) are rather over-priced. The reviews on them were only so-so, so I am going to get them from the library.
This was 3/50 for my summer reading challenge...
