I think it's a non-issue since all of the e-ink readers have it.
IMO-it's not even a "flash" to a totally black scree, but it is quick and subtle.
many people claim to get "in sync" with it visually and automatically blink at the transition. You really get the timing on the page turn down after a while.
I have a Kindle 1 and the turning speed is slightly different, but you adapt quickly.
