I have both a 505 and a 700. The 700 was an impulse purchase that I found on Craigslist shortly after getting the 505. I figured that one would stay on my nightstand and one would travel with me. So far, the 505 gets used and the 700 sits in the nightstand, lonely and unloved.
I agree with dg, that having both a Kindle and a Sony provides the user with the advantages of each device. Even having two Kindles with Whispernet where you could easily move from one device to the other reading the same book makes sense. However, having the two Sony readers so far has been kind of a waste for me.
One of these days I'll need to find a new, loving home for the 700. It deserves a better life.
