I like ebooks because you don't lose them in a flood. Imagine the pain of watching hundreds of books being shoveled up and loaded in a dumpster.

I like the ereader because it's easier to hold. I've had trouble with my wrists for years, and it hurts to have to hold a paper book because of having to physically hold the pages open. I like the ereader because I can keep a hundred or so books with me at all times. I like that it always keeps my place for me, and I like that everyone in my family can read the same book at the same time, if we want. I like that I can have the newest releases on my ereader at 12:01 am on release day and can probably have finished reading it by the time bookstores open.

I do like the smell of paper books, and I think a room full of full bookshelves looks marvelous. I still have those bookshelves filled up with books. It's just that almost all new books I buy are in digital format.
