I have to say that the best sci fi book I've read in the last few months has to be Leapfrog by Steve Hendry. It's sort of a Starship Troopers/Aliens/The Day After Tomorrow hybrid, but it's an original novel. There's even a sequel in the works. Everyone should check it out. Here's the link:
