I was considering getting rid of the DR because the Wacom is useless to me as I don't mark up any pdf's, it's merely a way to navigate the device while I read. The battery life and non-existent hibernation mode is the 1000 downfall for me as it's annoying to keep it charging while reading.
I don't care about the 3G or amazon store as I don't buy anything from there. I was hoping the DX would render the pdf's flawlessly, have a slightly smaller screen with much better battery time and a better form factor. The feel of it is nicer than the 1000 because of it's slim size and rectangular
The "perfect" reader device for me would be the DX with a black/charcoal bezel, properly displayed pdf's and better document management such as folders. A keyboard isn't necessary for my dream device either, I'd rather have more screen room or a smaller form factor. I would also rather have capacitive buttons as it's quieter and easier for me to use. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
If anyone has ideas for pictures just shoot me some suggestions, I am not a professional photographer so I don't want to disappoint lol

I agree with that, I don't know the hardware spec differences for processing power if there is a big difference. Some of the pdf's that rendered perfectly turned pages just as quickly as those with tiny print, at least it seemed like that to me.
