BTW, You are lucky that I think you are in US because you can send a pdf to amazon for conversion and come back to your DX. I am outside, but I never plan to convert my >1000 pdfs.

I can take some pictures later tonight when I get home from work. The text is tiny and I mean tiny on the poorly formatted pdf's. The 1000 displays them perfectly but is much slower at page turns and of course the battery life stinks. I do prefer the capacitive buttons as opposed to the DX "clicks". The form factor on the DX is sweet and easier to handle for me.
I bought the DX (already had a K1) and planned on phasing out the 1000 if it performed well. I think I have 30 days to return it if I hate the DX but I could be wrong. I read only technical computer technical pdf's and never buy from amazon so I could just transfer them through the micro-usb interace.
I'm not sure if the pdf support will ever get better with the DX with firmware updates but I doubt it. I may keep it around long term but it is a lot of $$ for what I need it to do.
