No, currently they can't work on the firmware because everyone is so worried about them running out of stock that they can't concentrate...
Once they are selling again they'll continue work on the firmware (except if they have other, more important stuff to do. In that case they'll let it rest until they run out of stock again or it's the second Monday of next week again)
