Is there any comfort in that?
If I have a soul, I'm not aware of it - how will I benefit from it's continued existence, any more than knowing my body will live on in worms, and plants.
It's nice to feel part of the whole, but it doesn't make me any less dead.
(Maybe it's your soul (spirit) that dies, and your corporeal components that go on forever.
