Most of my books that I read are Romanian and there is no Romanian market for ebooks in LRF or EPUB file format. So I have to import all my ebooks from HTML, TXT or RTF into MS Word where I can edit them. It is easy and I'm used to it.

I set the page dimmensions to 8,75 x 11,5 cm with 0,2 cm margins. I use my favorite font Caecilia at 9 pt. I can add footnotes, I can make italic, bold, center or any other formating to the text. I can modify the styles as I wish. I make a TOC easy and fast.
I export then the file as a PDF. All the links are working and the pages looks exactly as I created them. The page turns takes just a litle bit more on the reader than for an LRF file but I can live with it, it's not such a big difference.

I am not converting files to EPUB because is not as fast as LRF, it doesn't looks exactly as I wish, plus I don't like the left justified text and page numbers on the right side. I still don't get it, why so many people are so pleased with the EPUB? Maybe someone can help me with this.

I've also tried Calibre and BookDesigner to convert files to LRF but they didn't looked like I was expecting. Some characters or pagebreakes were not displayed right, so I gave up to these tools and there was no chance to add pictures but the cover.

Maybe in the future there will be a good converting tool to LRF, maybe from Sony.

PDF is not perfect but it looks and works great on my PRS-505.
