It seems to me that the Amazon bookstore can't be beaten in the ebook world. I don't know why some peole are so ticked at Amazon for their "horrid business practices" but the Kindles ability to shop at any time, preview books, get books from Gutenberg and Manybooks, the ability to transfer text files via Usb and (prolly most importantly) get free books from this site and store 1500 in it's memory banks seems like the deal clincher for me. I've always disliked he Sony store and it's ways. The preview feature has me real excited. When I go into Borders I enjoy browsing the stacks and picking up random books to read for a taste. (I know the electroni experience is not the same) I usually know if I want to finish a book by the end of the first chapter so I look at that feature as a potential money saver. Is there any hard facts out yet about a Sony big screen reader?
Give that it would be from Sony, you would be able to keep reading your LRF files and you'd have better PDF support and ePub support. The PDF support on the DX is not all that wonderful at the moment. No ToC and no inline links. Big drawback (IMHO). And to me not having ePub is a deal breaker.
