I am located in Western Canada and am the owner of a new Sony PSR-505. I love to read and books are good friends. I usually have two or three books on the go at once. Everything from Winston Churchill to J. K. Rowling to James Patterson. I am a little unsure of not having more shelves full of good old friends, but I do love my new 505. My suitcase will be much lighter on vacations now I think. I lugged 12 paperbacks to Mexico and back on our last vacation.

I am a retired IT guy and spent my working life developing, testing, and implementing business systems on big old mainframe computers. I guess that makes me sort of computer literate.

I am using Calibre on a Kubuntu Linux system and it is working well for me. However, I have a few newbie questions about Calibre and the 505 so I'll go to the correct forum and start asking.
