My favorite computer backpacks are by PacSafe. I like the Metro 300 as well as the DaySafe series. Mostly because they discourage theft.

If I'm going to be rolling stuff, then my person preference is for the Foray Mobile Workmate which is fantastic for moving a lot of books, computers, pens, cords, and anything else around. It comes with enough inserts and pockets to organize everything, plus, less strain on your back.

Granted, that's more important to me now that I'm older, but if this thing had been around when I was a student, and there had been more elevators and less steps around UCLA, I would have grabbed one in a heartbeat.
