I dont have the 700 yet but with my old PRS500 there were very few updates to the firmware that I can think of. Sony is probably working on that larger reader now and I doubt they will have many useful updates in the near future. I hope they continue to support their readers and don't just move on to the next device. The problem is that they need to continually support them because the devices aren't perfect yet and they are the only ones that can provide the apps that we need for the devices.
I hope they are considering customer loyalty and don't abandon the people who got in early. Irex has abandoned updates for a device that they still sell
. How do you have two devices and you are going to stop supporting one of them, yea thats a good way to keep customers happy, NOT! Add to that the premium pricing Irex wants and I won't be buying another Irex device anytime soon. Fool me once shame on....I will not be fooled again
