Soon it will be July and your few weeks of madness will be over...

I have been (crazily) thinking of moving back to the Chicago area. I just don't understand why they still insist on having really cold weather for almost half the year....

My friend, who still lives back home just south of Chicago, told me the sales tax has gone through the roof. Something like 9% in the city!

I do love it there, but the crazy politicians have ruined the place.

I think we should have an international meet-up once a year (or maybe every 6 months).

The first one could be in Scotland, the next in Paris, etc., etc., etc. I would love to meet all of you and get a chance to see the places where you spend your time. It would force me to use the dreaded "B" word (budget) and I would have to forgo any new gadgets for a while. But it would also get me out of Virginia for a change that doesn't include a trip to Florida and that can only be a good thing.
