My avatar is a picture of my son Matthew. He was 3 at the time and is now 5. It is taken on a little island in New Brunswick, Canada. I then gimped the photo to take all color, but that of the slide, out. I used similar techniques in the past to leave the subject of the photo the only remaining colored item but this time I thought that the color of the slide would make this photo pop. It was a real chore to take the color from each and every rock that Matthew dragged in there with him but in the end it was worth the effort.
This post is in response to some comments about my photo of late. I have another fun photo with my other son Andy in it that I shall use in the not to distant future.
