I want to be in this giveway, I want it I want the Sony PRS-700 willingly!!

Why should I be the one to win this giveway? How much time you got???

It was a cold day approx. 3 years ago, I believe it was in September as leaves lightly covered the asphalt outside my apartment and drizzle gently beat against my window sill. I was doing my daily browsing of gadget sites (either Engadet or Gizmodo I forget which) when I stumbled onto a new device that I had never seen nor heard of before yet it seemed revolutionary to me...Sony was releasing an eReader device? "What is an eReader and what the h*ll is eInk?", I thought.

Now at this time I probably averaged about 3-4 books a year, I found carrying books to be annoying and bothersome. I take the train to work and you could imagine trying to time your hand leaving the bar to turn your page before the train jolts sideways and you crash into a woman who will ever so politely be ready to mace you (New Yorkers don't liked to be touched on trains). But this this gadget, this eReader as they described, it was something amazing. You mean I could turn pages and read a book with one hand, hold 100s no scratch that THOUSANDS of books on one device and have it with me all the time, wait a minute the battery would last for a month!!

4 hours later after my dog licked my face to revive me from my fainting spell, I picked myself up and knew I had a mission. I had to know where I could get this device, alas it was not out yet and the technology was not yet tested to know if it would truly work the way I hoped. So I waited and waited and waited, the device was released, Sony PRS-500, got pretty good early reviews. I knew I needed one but I held off, $350 is a pretty big investment in a device especially if you don't read a lot so I had to really think about it. Fortunately and maybe unfortunately in some other device cases (My broken Archos 605 Wifi video player with that harddrive that failed 6 months in, I'm looking at you! Don't turn like you don't see me) I'm a gadget nut and I couldnt get it out of my head so in December as a present to myself I purchased a Sony Reader. There are times in a persons life that they will remember forever and that forever change their lives, getting your driver's license, your college graduation date, the birth of your first child, the death of a close family member and now the purchase of a Sony Reader...

Fast forward a year and 70+ books later, I was an addict. I was constantly seen with my reader and people at work laughed that eReaders would never take off because people don't read. I was a convert, I knew that if people got their hands on this device they would be compelled to read, the device was just that beautiful like 'Blue Steel'. But now I had a new problem, I ran through all of the novel books that I could get my hands on but now I had PDF docs for work and technical books that I needed to read as well which didn't quite cut it on the PRS-500. "Why doesn't anyone make a larger eInk reader? It doesn't make any sense that all readers are 6", I thought. Upon searching in google for larger ebook readers I came across a site that once again changed my life, MobileRead. Here was a site that contained all the information that I was looking for in one place, what new devices were coming out, how much they would cost, reviews from people that knew what they were talking about (unlike NY Times or other sources that thought the devices should have "Video" ugh ). In the annals of MobileRead I found the second device that would alter my reality which was the Irex Iliad.

Now I won't bore you chronicling the details of my love-hate relationship with my Iliad but it is safe to say that the Iliad is the closest that I've come to Objectum Sexual with a device. I feel like an old married couple with it, it doesn't do everything you want it to but its there when you really need it and that's what's important. We've been through hundreds of docs now. Unfortunately the device has been somewhat abandoned by its creators like a freckled baby and there are new formats like ePub and Adobe DE that will not work on either my Iliad nor my Sony 500. There must be a better way...there is and it is this giveway. I need that new jolt in my life, a new fix so to say like Amy Winehouse 3 months out of rehab. Where is the excitement? Its with the Sony PRS-700.

My Sony PRS-500 is like the quiet librarian with her hair in a bun and her wire framed glasses hanging mid-way down her nose. The Sony PRS-700 on the other hand is that same librarian letting her hair flow down her back, her glasses float off and she knows its time to party. Now Lets Party See you in the PRS-700 forums!!
