This concept actually scares me. I think its handing over too much freedom to institution x while we drive.
Also i think the universal code is coming sooner than we might think. They are already placing rfid chips in state id ( only if requested... for now). once everyone is tagged "they" will not only know what u buy, but at what time u go to bed.
GE (General Electric) has started this new smart grid technology (
they advertise it with out advertising IT...), where "we"(they) can control our appliances remotely. Not only will they know what kind of appliances we have (the new ones are getting chiped for this function) but they will be able to tell when we are home (by usage), what kind of job we have... ect.
The way they justify this to the American public is that they will be able to save money if "they"(them) have control over their power consumption remotely....
