How about something actually doable like mass producing electric cars! The cars we are using now are using almost the same technology as their inception almost a century ago.
And on that note, why can't our roads have some kind of detectors that allow us to run on autopilot. No more car accidents from drivers too busy talking on their mobile phones to actually pay attention to their driving.

Steve, I really do like your idea of a universal key fob. Can it also have a code attached so I can get rid of all those little plastic tags the grocery stores, bookstores, card stores, etc. give me so I can get sale prices? I hate having to dig those things out all the time!
