Greetings from R. Wood in Virginia

I’m a little late in saying, “Hello.” Trust me, that’s nothing new for me. (Insert joke here about being late for own funeral.)

Over the years I have done many things from radio and television to programming and systems development. I spent a number of years running major projects for Government consulting firms. I have run my own company for the last few years and am currently involved in a high tech start-up.

I started in eBooks as we know them now back in the early 1990s with Adobe Acrobat Version 1. Initially it started with publishing a lot of Government reports and User Manuals and progressed as time went on.

A few years back I started reading stuff on my Palm equipped cell phone and developed a rather extensive library of material. Many PDBs were self created. (Would you believe an ISO-9000 manual on your phone?) When I first heard of e-ink and later the Sony Reader I knew that the days of the small coarse dot matrix screen were doomed.

Picked up a Reader about a week ago and joined here shortly thereafter.
