Well what a difference a day makes. Plugged e-reader into computer ready to try Columbus's thread and before doing anything else than open Adobe Digital Editions I was informed that the e-reader and the computer were registered in different accounts. I was then given the option of bringing the e-reader into the same registration as the computer. Then downloaded book to the e-reader and lo and behold it all works fine now. Why it didn't do that yesterday I really don't know. My wife is over the moon and can nowe read her precious book. It will now probably turn out to be awful.
