My reasons for preferring the smartq 7 over this is:

1. Weight 720g compared to 480g of smartq 7.

2. Battery life a lot better on q7

3. Buttons on the front of the q7. Just a quirk of mine I guess but I prefer having a button or a joystick toggle to turn pages in a reader.

4. I think 8.9 is getting a bit big for me. For a comfortable ebook reading experience. Again personal preference.

Looks like it comes with a nice cover though, which is cool.
