I faceted for about 50 hrs at a machine NOT facing a window. I felt more animal than human by the time they pulled the plug yesterday.
The tragedy is that I ruined a gorgeous honey-colored citrine by using a brand new untested design that the teacher had come up with. I plan to re-grind it into a similar shape and hopefully not lose more than half a mm or so.
