I remember, years and years ago, seeing a poster. (bear with me here.)
It was silhouettes of planes, as tho you were looking up at them from the ground. Each type of plane had a different silhouette, and the idea was to be able to recognize what was flying over you.
Obviously this was during WWII and the planes were war planes.
I always thought that was a neat thing........to be able to glance up and know what was flying overhead.
Does anyone else remember one of these?

when I was in Basic there were posters on the inside of the stalls that had planes, tanks and battleships. also rank insignias. SEE! even the Army knew how to maximize throne time!
