Yep, that's what happened with mine...we had the montreal Sony Store order one for us but they weren't allowed to store or display them in-store.

The funny thing is that some things in montreal are french-only (eg: metro anouncements) but nothing is allowed to be english-only, I always wonder how tourists manage...

Edit: I'm not 100% sure on the details, the sales person told us this and his explaination was that it wasn't bilingual...but the 3 stores I went to didn't carry it and all of them cited the same reason.
