I'm sure the Kindle numbers would be higher if they were available for sale outside the US of A. As someone else pointed out, only a small percentage of the world's population can legally buy these devices. So, blame Amazon for the low percentage!
I originally wanted one very badly but I'm now very glad I wasn't "allowed" to.
From my perspective I have more options available to me now which is a very good thing.
