I don't understand this. The only button on the Sony that has text associated with it is "MENU". Everything is either a picture of a number - which is bilingual by nature.
That aside, the only other bit of English language text is "PORTABLE READER SYSTEM" engraved on the case itself.
I don't see either one of these being a handicap to somebody reading a French language electronic book.
Unless, perhaps, you meant the text of the menus in the software itself? Even so, I don't know if that would be a huge liability either. I, for one, would have no problem using a PRS if the menu language was all in French.
In France, I could see the English PRS being a hindrance to marketing, but I don't see it blocking marketing or usage in Montreal...
