The 4th and 5th grade students at my daughter's school put on a musical based on Disney's The Jungle Book. They asked the parents not to take any pictures or recordings because they had legal obligations with Disney which limited recordings. I saw many people turn the flash off of their cameras and take pictures anyway!
And they wonder why our jobs as teachers are so difficult. If the parents don't follow rules, what makes them think the kids are going to?!?
