Calling ebook reader ereader is a different issue. ereader is not just a brand name it is ebook format name. So, when people mention ereader, in 50% of cases it is confusing. Do they refer to ebook format? Do they understand that Sony/Kindle/CyBook don't support ereader format?
If it was just another gadget, then I would understand it. For argument sake, if ebook readers were called Reader, and the Reader would one of many brands among Sony, Reader, Hanlin, CyBook etc.
