I had the same problem when I got the leather cover... the connector being off by several degrees. I was going to send it back then said to heck with it and hacked it.

Just take a small knife or razor and trim the openings slots in the connector on the cover a wee bit till you can attach the reader and rotate it to the right position. It will still connect firmly it just is free to rotate slightly, depending on how much you trim.

Then just take a couple pieces of tape rolled up and stick one high and one low to keep the reader from rotating. Had mine this way for a month now with no problem whatsoever.

And even though I did like the stock cover... I like the leather one better. It has a better feel to it.
