Actually, as an experiment, I just tried it, and you do have to have a JetBook registered. So we'll have to wait to hear from an actual JetBook owner who's tried it.

Although, to be fair to Ectaco, nowhere on the site did I see the promise to provide any book for free. All they seem to be promising is to look for it for you if you can't find it on any of the sites they recommend (feedbooks, manybooks, PG, etc.)

So they don't promise that any book can be read on it, but they do seem to skim over the fact that many can't. Not exactly honest, but not flat out lying, either.

For what that's worth.
