Spent the day with a fork. Sadly, it was not the sort that moves food to mouth, but instead an ingenious torture device that converts an extent of unkempt garden into an ache in the back. Consequently, I am considering which painkiller is the best to use...

Go for it! Smoking was a major factor in my dad's relatively early death (early 50's). It's just not worth it. And anyway, think of all the books you could buy with the money you'd save....
