When I was young I was always told, just before bedtime for some reason I forget, that less than seven otters will always dance clockwise, but that more than ten will dance anti-clockwise.
When there are seven and nine they just run in a straight line towards the nearest stone circle for twenty one steps before turning round and heading back for the water.
Does anyone know what happens with eight otters?
