I will admit I purchased the Stark and JAG series from Baen once they were finally released in ebook form. Thought they were quiet enjoyable.

Another series that I found good easy reads were the Kris Longknife series by Mike Shepherd and Vatta's War by Elizabeth Moon

Hard to beat the Lensman series by EE "Doc" Smith
