Assuming it's an 802.11g router, theoretical maximum (well, not theoretical, but laboratory) is 54mbps. Real-world throughput with excellent signal is probably half that (~27mbps). Unless you have FiOS or really fast cable, your wifi connection is unlikely to slow down internet browsing.
