Not wishing to sound negative, I really wouldn't count on it being a warranty repair. Broken screen substrates (which yours definitively is, from the picture) are normally not covered by warranty. I think you may well find that, when Sony receive it, they'll contact you and tell you that it's not covered by the warranty.
