Whenever they would ask if we wanted an extended warranty on something we were purchasing, my husband would always say NO. Now that we have been burned a few times, I've purchased a whole house appliance warranty through our mortgage company. That way, if something big like one of the air conditioners stops working, they will repair or replace it. It's a shame that we had to learn the lesson the hard way, though!

PS. I have a little Kenmore canister vacuum that I absolutely love. My kids tease me about it because I talk to it like it's one of the dogs! I REALLY need to get out more!
