Sorry to hear about your pool. We looked at a house a couple of years ago (when we were moving) that had a pool. The house had clearly been empty for quite a while, and evidently the chlorine level in the pool had eventually dropped to the point that it could support life. In particular, frogs. There were more tadpoles, frogs, and in-betweens in that pool than I'd ever seen before.

It was actually really cool. If the basement of that house hadn't been so damp, we might have bought it. We still call it "the frog house" in our family.

(I even had a dream after we bought a different house about sneaking onto the property and putting a mesh ramp into the pool, because I was worried that the frogs couldn't easily get out. But on consideration, I think if that had been a problem there wouldn't have been so many live ones there.)
