In the original thread, p3aul said he was leaving to find a forum elsewhere but came back so it follows the same could have happened here.
You know every time you folks talk about closing this thread or make explanations about why you thought it should be closed, you pop it up to the top again. It would have died a quiet death by now. My suggestion in future is to either just close a thread and deal with the consequences or leave it alone (no hinting around about closing it).
