I've recently requested a composting bin, which we can get free through our local council (government). I think that should be enough for our needs at the moment.
If I need more, I can go out to the tip (garbage dump) where the council composts all the paper, card and garden waste that is collected each week. The compost is free to local residents and is quite good quality. I have noticed that the areas of the garden in which I have dug in council compost have far more worms than the areas which have store bought compost.
