Downloading books to ipod touch

Hi,

I've searched to see if this has been answered already and couldn't find anything. From what I did find, I have set up Calibre and the ipod in the right way, I think.

What I see on the ipod when I try and access the on-line catalogue is a short delay when selecting the catalogue entry followed by a safari browser that says the server is slow or not responding. The URL is based on "reader.mac.com" so I think it is receiving a feed.

When I try to access the catalogue through the URL "http://mymac.local:8080/stanza" I do see a formatted feed in the browser.

I've tried with the firewall off as well as the port forwarded on my router (although I don't think this is necessary)

There are no errors in the Calibre log.

Any ideas? I'm finding the ebook world very frustrating what with devices that won't work on the mac, DRM, different formats etc.....

Regards

Andrew
