A Kindle 2 ( and presumably, the DX) does not have a user-replaceable battery. You have to send it to Amazon for replacement (similar to some of the Apple products). If I recall, the charge is $49 or similar, not $200.
It is my understanding that the Sony calls them page numbers, but they have no more correlation to page numbers in some physical edition than the Kindle's location numbers do.
