LOL well I think the analogy is bad, but I get your point. A more fitting analogy is to say the bookstore owners takes your check but says the only time you can read this book is when you enter my store. Oh and I have the right to stop carrying the book you "rented". Oh and by the way you "rented" the paper back model not the "hardback" so you cant read that book.

Businesses have the right to implement whatever business model they wish. And
consumers have the right to chose who they do business with.
I don't understand why people get so ruffled up. Just DON'T by the DRM books. I've had my PRS-505 for over a year now and aside from the first book I bought when I pursed the reader I've yet to buy another book from SONY.
